Marvel Studios continues to bring comic book characters to the big screen. Most recently, it was revealed that Marvel is preparing a Disney+ exclusive series for the character Nova. The series is still a few years away from premiere and is in pre-production.
Marvel has begun work on the Nova series
Richard Rider, the human identity of a Nova Corps officer, is coming to Disney Plus with a new project. Early rumors for the role include Noah Centineo and Noah Le Gros. The names, who have previously appeared in Netflix productions, have not yet spoken about the Nova character.
The first statement about the series came from Marvel Executive Kevin Feige. In an interview, Feige said, “The Marvel world is coming together. Richard Rider will be a big show, yes. It’s three or four years away,” Feige said. This shows that the series is a few years away.
Speculation about his casting in the main cast has also begun. Centineo, 25, has both the comedic and action chops Marvel needs. Le Gros, 27, is said to be similar to Nova from the comics.
Marvel has not yet begun casting negotiations. However, the Nova series seems to accelerate the development of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+.
On the other hand, Deadpool & Wolverine movie aroused curiosity with its earnings. According to studio estimates, the superhero movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman grossed $64.8 million in Thursday screenings.
